The towns Labour Group have been slowly unveiling its candidates they hope will retake seats lost to Conservatives & Independents in previous local elections following claims the towns set to see the coalition at Hartlepool Borough Council come perilously close to collapse once the May elections have concluded.
On the Labour Groups Throston Ward Social Media Page Mr Wallace said “People have enough on their plates these days and need a council that has their backs and fights their corner. As a resident and local businessman, I know I do! Your concerns are my concerns: health services, crime and litter, proper jobs and good council services.
Throston is a diverse ward with a range of problems. Along with recently elected colleague Cameron Sharp, I want the chance to deliver for everyone.”
Hartlepool Borough Councils current governance is held together through a coalition of Conservative Councillors & Independents, however its claimed that the Conservatives could lose as many as three council ward seats in May's local elections delivering a body blow to the coalition of councillors who recently approved a controversial 4.9% Council Tax increase, a controversial garden waste charge dubbed “the bin tax” & further cuts set to come on the back of a projected ten million pounds budget deficit that opposition councillors claim is a deficit MORE than what was left over from the previous labour council.
