Labour Councillors “dig” at Conservative MP’s travelling expenses backfires….

Labours dig at Hartlepool Conservative MP’s travel costs backfires spectacularly; with claims the groups increasingly desperate bid to score political points is winning them no support at all.....

Tuesday 6th December 2022 08:03am

Labours propaganda team was left feeling rather “red faced” yesterday, as it scrambled to limit the damage after a social media post seemingly ridiculing a Hartlepool MP’s travel expenditure bill backfired spectacularly when Labour forgot that their previous MP’s had all creamed a fortune out of the Tax payer in expenses when they held the constituency.

Two previous Labour MP's elected for the town creamed a fortune out of Parliamentary Expenses, with Mike Hill topping out to be one of the worst offenders....

Hartlepool Councillor Jonathan Brash took to social media yesterday afternoon to have a swipe at the Hartlepool MP’s travelling expenditure bill.

However, the move didn’t go the way Labours propaganda chiefs had wanted & it sparked a backlash on social media, with users spending no time in reminding the Labour candidate over Labours past MP’s shenanigans, including former MP Iain Wright alongside another former Labour MP Tom Watson who’d between them managed to cream off £100,000 of MP’s expenses sharing a flat in central London.

Having a dig at an MP's travelling expenses leads to Labour having a "rough ride of its own"

Amongst the many items claimed on expenses by previously elected Hartlepool Labour MP’s, the most notable one was the Mike Hill sexual assault scandal, where it was claimed the Hartlepool MP claimed back over £20k in expenses funding his legal campaign to defend the claims brought by his accuser Ms A, only for him to then ADMIT the offenses at an employment tribunal hearing.

In March 2022, Labour come under further criticism when parliamentary expenses records showed the Hartlepool MP Mike Hill had claimed over thirteen thousand pounds in redundancy pay-outs following the collapse of Labours support in the by-election held through Mike Hills resignation which led to Conservatives Jill Mortimer being elected for the first time in the Hartlepool Constituency, a move that was considered to be one of the most unprecedented political shifts in Labours so called “red wall” constituency.

Jill Mortimer's expenses are amongst the LOWEST certainly amongst her Labour counterparts in other constituencies.

In a previous report Hartlepool Matters published & is available to read via our Facebook page, we reported that Conservative MP Jill Mortimer's expenses run far shorter than that of her political rivals, with Labour MP's in other constituencies in the area have racked up significantly higher expenses bills than that of Ms Mortimer, with the Hartlepool Conservative MP's expenses only totalling around £40k, with nearby Easington Labour MP Graeme Morris claiming back £241,000 in parliamentary expenses, a lesson many believe Labour should learn from Hartlepool's local MP in terms of "value for money"

Labours hurtling towards yet another "car crash" election year the way its currently going...

Labours election "foot soldiers" team on its rounds in the areas Victoria Ward last week....

“Car Crash Brash”, as he’s now been so aptly dubbed is now claiming to be bouncing from one political disaster after another, with the Hartlepool Councillor recently hitting the national press when he criticised private schools being able to gain charitable status to gain generous tax breaks, only to be found that Mr Brash himself is in fact employed as a teacher in……. a private school based in Yarm, Stockton on Tees…

So far, Labours campaign to rid Hartlepool of what it believes to be its “part time Conservative MP” hasn’t gone down as well as many had hoped, with the party now embarking on a significant doorstep campaign months, perhaps even years before a General Election is to be held.

However, Labours past continues to haunt the political extremist group that whilst making “modest” gains within the local council recently seemingly aren’t convincing voters very much on the doorsteps that Labours a changed party & learned its lessons from the past.

Labours quick to ridicule other members, but quick to shy away from its "dirty" past....

Labour has "a past", & sadly it likes to keep it locked up away from the public as much as it possibly can do

Ironically, even as recently as a week ago, a number of Labour councillors one of whom was Mr Brash himself even went so far as to brand another Hartlepool councillor as “a liar”, reaffirming that he should stand down when the councillor received a conviction for spousal battery.

Labours ability to "burry" sexual assault allegations has been well documented, with female Labour members openly admitting "they were not safe" within the extremist group...

The irony of this is that whilst attempting to ridicule a local councillor into standing down, Labour completely sidestepped the fact that just three years ago Hartlepool's Labour MP Mike Hill was shielded his political party, with the parties evil henchmen & heavies deployed to ask other Labour members to openly harass & abuse Mike Hills victim into dropping her sexual assault allegations in hopes that Labours dirty little secret would quickly go away. ….

Allegations which were later found to be true & led to the Labour MP resigning in disgrace.

As a matter of fact, there’s absolutely no evidence at all that Labours changed its ways in Hartlepool other than the fact that Labours continual efforts to paper over or even try to re-write history over its past transgressions trying to convince the public that its “changed its ways”, is merely a smoke screen, when in fact many of the dangerous & toxic elements of the party still remain behind the scenes within its deep rooted culture club of dangerous left wing extremists where despite claiming to be a reinvigorated & rejuvenated political party, it stands merely as the same party it was three years ago, with a number of recycled councillors dug up from retirement trying to make the public believe that "all will be better" under Labour, when in fact everything would be exactly the same…..

Or perhaps even worse !
