Members of the public reacted with anger yesterday when Labours prospective candidate to become the towns MP in the next general election took to social media to politicise a tragic event which led to the arrest of seven people in an alleged murder investigation.

Labours Jonathan Brash took to social media yesterday evening saying that “we must do more” to make some parts of the town a safer place to live, stopping short of actually giving any points as to how he intended to make any difference to the towns increasing crime levels should he ever be elected as the towns Member of Parliament.

Labours been increasingly desperate to kick start its election campaign to retake Hartlepool years before any potential general election is to take place, with Mr Brash, who's already said under significant pressure from Labour bosses to deliver upon his pledge to take back the now Tory seat & put it back in the hands of the Labour Party

However in his most recent political stunt, Mr Brash again slipped on the proverbial election "banana skin" when he was accused of being a hypocrite, when he claimed private schools VAT exemption should come to an end, despite Mr Brash who himself works a teacher for a private school, upsetting his bosses in the process.

Mr Brash stopped at nothing to ensure that critical posts in response to his social media publication were sanitized yesterday following an incident in Hartlepool where a man in his 30s was found dead at an address in the Belle View Area of Hartlepool.

Seven people were arrested yesterday, with a silver ford focus also removed from the scene by scenes of crime officers as part of their investigation, with claims Mr Brash instead of offering his “sympathies” to the family of the victim, sought instead to make a political statement out of the tragedy that has in turn won him no favours in the local community.

“Car Crash Brash” as he's been referred to by many is still seen as the popular choice for Labour to try & regain the Hartlepool Constituency seat, however its been reported that his most latest stunt is now giving bosses at labour North cold feet in that perhaps Mr Brash might not have been the ideal candidate to be peddling in the town that overwhelmingly voted to see labour as far away from the town as it possibly could just two years ago when Conservatives Jill Mortimer took the former red wall seat from the left wing extremist party by a considerable majority.

Questions over Mr Brash's hidden wealth are also starting to unfold, following a Hartlepool Matters investigation which has found Mr Brash has amassed a property fortune of nearly a million pounds, with Mr Brash boasting a £660k six bedroomed property purchased in one of Hartlepool's exclusive estates & a property development business, where its been found he owns at least one home said to be in the process of being renovated for potential sale in Spennymoor County Durham in a business he co owns with his wife, who's ironically also a Labour ward councillor working in Hartlepool.
